Sunday Services
At St Luke's we meet regularly to worship God, pray together and share in Holy Communion. Our Sunday service pattern is as follows:
1st Sunday: 9:15am Holy Communion
2nd Sunday: 9:15am All Age Communion with Baptism Welcomes
3rd Sunday: 9:15am Holy Communion
4th Sunday: 9:15am Holy Communion
5th Sunday: 9:15am Holy Communion
During the week we have a Holy Communion Book of Common Prayer service on Wednesdays at 9:30am.
Baptisms
Baptism (sometimes called Christening) is a joyful occasion and one which we greatly cherish at St Luke's. Whether bringing a child for baptism or being baptised ourselves, this involves making important promises of commitment to follow God and to be a part of his church family. Baptism services normally take place on the fourth Sunday of the month. To book a Baptism there is a monthly Booking & Preparation evening on a Monday at 6.00pm. Please contact the Parish office for more information.
Weddings
We are thrilled that you are considering getting married in church, and would be delighted to discuss with you about getting married at St. Luke's.
Please contact the parish office to discuss possible dates, some of the legal and financial requirements and the opportunity to meet with a member of the clergy team.
A good place to address some of your initial questions about a church wedding is the Church of England’s comprehensive weddings website:
Funerals
St Luke's is there for you through all the stages of life, we believe that God’s love and power extends over all creation. Christians have always believed that there is hope in life and that there is new life in Christ after death. If you choose us to help we will provide a bespoke service to meet your requirements. Arrangements are usually made through the Funeral Director of your choosing but if you wish to contact the church directly this is fine as well.
