St Luke's is a community whose purpose is to share Christ's love with all people through worship, learning, caring relationships and service to others.
PRAYER
As Christians prayer is very important to us. We use prayer to thank God for the amazing things he does for us, to say sorry to God for the times we have not lived the way he would want us to and to ask God for help in our lives.
At St Luke's we have our very own prayer room, a private space for people to use and a prayer chain so we can pray for those in need. If you have any specific prayer requests please contact us.

THE CHURCH'S PRAYER FOR THE WEEK
FOR THOSE WHO ARE SICK
Lord God, whose Son, Jesus Christ, understood people's fear and pain before they spoke of them, we pray for all those who are sick, either at home or in hospital, surround the frightened with your tenderness, give strength to those in pain, hold the weak in the arms of your love, and give hope and patience to those who are recovering; we ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE GRIEVING
God of life and love, we come to you in our need. Be with us as we experience the abyss of death and grief. Be there in our sorrow and pain; be with us in our fear, that we may find light in darkness, comfort in your Word, in the name of Jesus, who by death has conquered death. Amen.
