Covid(19) Update 1st September:
The church is now open for Communion on a Sunday Morning at 9:15am. This will be reviewed weekly and may change should there be a large increase of infections. Online worship will also continue with services at 10:45am and 11am and we would encourage those who are able to access this to continue to do so for the time being. A number of restrictions will be in place in church including:
Those who are coming into church are asked to wear a mask.
Communion will be in one kind (bread only) and will be brought to you at your seat by the minister.
A cap of 30 on number of people allowed in our building at any one time.
A one way system in and out of church, strict 2m social distancing and signing in to help with contact tracing if needed.
The service will be available to follow on the screens only.
St Luke’s is a friendly church where people of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
We are a community whose purpose is to share Christ’s love with all people, through worship, learning, caring relationships and service to others.
Each Sunday at 9.15am we hold a Communion Service suitable for everyone including families; we have hymns, music and a children’s club, followed by refreshments and a chance to chat after the service. On alternate Sunday's (2nd and 4th) we also have a quiet Prayer Book Service at 8am.
Each Wednesday at 9.30am we have a quiet Prayer Book Service of Holy Communion followed by refreshments.
