CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’ And he laid his hands on them and went on his way.
Matthew 19:14-15
SUNDAY SCHOOL
During our main 9:15am Sunday communion service, there is an opportunity for Children and Young People to go for their own time of learning. During this time they will be taught about different stories from the Bible and how God wants us all to live. There will also be time to get creative by taking part in numerous craft activities.
TODDLER GROUP
Little Angels meet on a Thursday morning in our Parish Centre between 9:30am and 11:15am. All children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Please contact Julia on 01429 281122 for more information.
OPEN THE BOOK
Open the book brings Bible stories to primary school children presented by a team of volunteers from a local church . St Luke's open the book team goes in to Throston Primary School once per month to deliver Bible stories in an accessible and enjoyable way . We contribute to the children's religious , spiritual and moral education and encourage links between school and church. Bible stories such as Noah and the ark, David and Goliath , the Good Samaritan and the Easter and Christmas stories are acted out by the team and children from the school . The children enjoy the Bible stories very much and we hope to take open the book in to other schools in our parish .
